The world's first car

A vehicle called a car is a wheeled vehicle contained four or more engine of its own (self-propelled vehicle) with the operation by a driver for less than four-wheeled vehicles are not called a car, usually just called a three-wheeled vehicle or two wheeled vehicles only. Many kinds of cars ranging from sedans, vans, trucks, buses, etc.. Different countries, there will be differences in classification as well as four wheel drive cars or more.

The car was first designed and built by Nicolas-Joseph Cugnot and successfully demonstrated in 1769. Cugnot born in Void-Vacon, Lorraine, Meuse, France on 26 February 1725. Working as a military power-engineer who experimented to create vehicles that are powered by steam engine (steam-engine-powered vehicles) in the year 1765 for use by French troops. Actually Cugnot vehicles are tricycle as the development of 2 wheel carts drawn by horses. Outstanding horse power engine was replaced by steam, which is supported by one wheel. Improvements made in 1771 and successfully built a vehicle called fardier à vapeur that can travel a distance of 7.8 km in 1 hour and picked up 4 tons of goods. This vehicle is not stable enough because of the spread of the load vehicle are not counted carefully, and anyway there is no suspension to reduce vibration from the road, knowing it, has not paved the road slippery antiquity.

Steam power vehicles that are more famous than the originators (Cugnot) is made in the Lunar Society in Birmingham, England. And also in Birmingham gasoline powered car was first made in Britain in 1896 by Frederick William Lanchester who also patented the disc brake. Before it was Richard Trevithick had developed techniques for vehicle Cugnot homemade "wagon-steam" in the year 1801.
